A free community app for Star Trek Online players, combining account and character tracking with a growing roadmap for fleet management.
STO Info is a substantial development project sitting at the intersection of Star Trek Online, community tooling and modern web engineering.
The project is built around a separate frontend and backend, with a public-facing app, API, health monitoring, release processes and a growing feature roadmap. It is the most direct example of MidNiteShadow as a technical builder inside a gaming community.
The Star Trek Online Info Portal was born from my need to track my characters and accounts in a massive Excel spreadsheet. The problem was, there was so much data to manage that it was getting harder to manage my ninety-seven characters across seven accounts on three platforms!
My solution was to create the Star Trek Online Info Portal.
The plan is for this companion app to help you track player STO accounts, characters, fleets, reputations, duty officers, statistics, and, eventually, a lot more.
This app will also provide players with a way to track their progress in Star Trek Online, share their data with friends, and help them plan their next steps. Additionally, it will include feature updates that enhance gameplay and user engagement. Stay tuned for exciting new functionalities in future updates!
The Star Trek Online Info Portal is still a work in progress but aims to add more functionality soon… trust me, it will be installed on Tuesday!
