A new update has gone live for STO Info. Most of this one is behind-the-scenes work, but there is one visible fix worth calling out first:
What’s changed
- ✅ Fixed STO account character counts - these should now report correctly.
- Added Sentry to help detect and fix errors faster.
- Improved internal logging and request tracking to make diagnosing issues easier.
- General maintenance: dependency updates, security checks, and workflow improvements.
You probably won’t notice much difference day-to-day (apart from the character count fix), but this should make the app more stable and reduce odd edge-case bugs.
Quick note on Sentry (plain English)
Sentry is a tool that helps explain why something went wrong if the app errors or crashes.
What it’s used for:
- Spotting bugs and crashes.
- Fixing issues more quickly.
What it’s not used for:
- No ads or behavioural tracking.
- No passwords or sensitive personal data.
- No monitoring of how you personally use the site.
Personal data collection is disabled, and any logged data is kept for a limited time, in line with the privacy policy. The goal is simply to improve stability and speed up fixes.
